So I’ve started painting up the first of the boyz. The model which is already based was my test model to ensure I’d be happy with the paint scheme, that’s why he’s painted to a bit higher quality than the rest of them. I will say in the end though, I was happier with the better constrast of the straps on the assembly line quality guys, even if they didn’t get as many skin or clothing shades.
I have 20 of these guys to paint up, then I’m scratch building a mega armor warboss. I’ll keep you posted here of course.
They were conquerors. They were heroes. They were righteous.
And they would not be denied. They had once conquered the galaxy for humanity and the Emperor, but both had proven unworthy for all of the sacrifices they had made and the blood they had spilled. Humanity was weak and cowardly, clinging to false idols while the Emperor lied about reason and logic only to covet the veneration of trillions of cowardly worms.
They would not stand for this injustice. They would not lie down while worthless, inane, bureaucrats dictated their lives. They would rise up from the shadow of the Emperor’s intent and take the galaxy by force.
They were strong. They were invincible. They were legion.
They would make this galaxy burn.
(Been trying to upload this bastard for three days now! Ugh!)
The Captain and chief librarian of my Thousand Sons, Akil Amari. Another one of my earliest models for my army. His arms are magnetised so I can give him different weapons load-outs, and he’s also magnetised to the base (which I also customised to add the lava) so I can put him on different ones… if I ever get around to making other bases for him, anyway. XD
The runes on his staff loosely translate into “All is Dust”.
Terminator Chaplain of the Salamanders attended to by servitors and his brother Astartes
Loadout looks to be heavy twin bolter and Crozious, both more likely than not to be relics.
"And lo the Emperor hath proclaimed ‘Murder everything twenty score times over’ so load your damn bolters and let’s get to work."
